Ashley Birks on Road to Recovery


Former cycle speedway rider turned speedway star Ashley Birks is making a steady recovery from a horrendous crash at Plymouth speedway. Ashley broke his back in two places and underwent a major operation to have rods inserted to repair the fractures.  Spokesman readers everywhere, wish Ashley a full and speedy recovery.

Work is continuing apace on the new cycle speedway track at Cramlington, Northumberland.  As our pics show, contractors are making good progress and remain on course to complete the works
within the three week build period.
